The stranger goes on to assure her that babies are cute and he was sure her baby was no different. The woman stopped crying and thanked him for his kind words. The points are these: He determines what's important; he plans down to the smallest detail; he is constantly looking for ways to make his process better.
Saban manages every minute of every day with the obsessive recognition that lost time cannot be recaptured. He orders the same lunch every day (a salad of iceberg and romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes and slices of turkey) not because he has a one-dimensional palate, but because he calculated the amount of time he lost in a week ordering from a menu.
He's a micro-manager, but a PURPOSEFUL micro-manager. What sets him apart is his attention to detail. He has defined standards athletically, academically and personally for his players. They can either choose to sign-up for those or go elsewhere. If a player's body fat during the off-season increases, he wants to know why, what's being done about it, and when it will be corrected. If a player's academic performance is slipping, he does likewise (in a school at which academic performance among football players hasn't always been of paramount importance, Alabama football players now enjoy the second highest graduation rate in the SEC, trailing only Vanderbilt). During any typical staff meeting, the team's academic advisor reviews the performance of any player whose performance is slipping in any class. For example,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], if a professor notes that a player is distracted or isn't taking notes, he'll contact the academic advisor who will report it to Saban. The coach will then conduct a meeting with the player to fix the problem BEFORE it manifests itself in the player's grade in that class. For many of us,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the name Nick Saban conjures up the image of a cold, calculating automaton – grim, frowning, win-at-all-costs football coach who cares more about the score of his games and the margin of his victories than the development of the young men at the University of Alabama. Until I did some research to discover how he developed the "secret sauce," I was one of those people who regarded him with something between skepticism and disdain. While I'm still pretty sure that hanging out with him would be no day-at-the-beach, I now have a respect for him as a man, a coach,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and a leader. His approach and results provide lessons that are easily and totally exportable to you and your challenges as a business leader. To wit:
This coach's concern for a player goes way beyond performance on the field and in the classroom. He invests a lot of time and money teaching his players and coaches how to lead and follow. Many of the kids who gravitate to his program come from single parent, maternally led homes. Those young men often have lots of raw football talent, but they may have a problem taking direction or dealing with male authority figures.
He analyzes every activity the same way. Next, from among activities he's decided to complete himself, he looks for a better way to complete each.

We do role plays based on scenarios, and a good role play can dramatically add to your awareness of a situation while helping you build capability.
Be supportive while being objective and sincere. You’re speaking to someone focusing on their speech, their emotions, and their body language. Speaking with Your Whole Body Time: 5 to 7 minutes
Do not evaluate the speech content. Please don’t repeat the speech in short form.
After reflecting on the presentation, use the sandwich technique to evaluate. Your basic sandwich tells 1) what you appreciate, 2) a challenge in the middle, and 3) encouragement to continue growing. Another evaluation sandwich is - retain, reduce, increase. First what the person is doing well and should retain. Then things they should stop or reduce. Finally point out things that might be increased.
A simple summary: body movement adds energy to your talk,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], walking toward a group adds impact, walking sideways can be used to change topics or to provide some kind of interlude or indication something that’s ongoing, walking backwards away from the group might indicate that you’re backing off from a topic and maybe changing to the next one. However if you just simply make such a series of moves, people will probably wonder what all your shuffling about means. You have to combine what you do with what you say in your natural way of doing things.
If you ever drop something, just slowly go down and pick it up. Speed sends ‘rushed and error’ signals but stately moves don’t. And of course, remember to be you, not just a set of rules (or a powerpoint).
We grow more from watching/listening then reflecting and then evaluating – in the spiraling cycle, than we do from simply speaking. Partially because we can then learn how to evaluate others all the time. We can then continually learn, becoming our own best evaluators.
Evaluating Body language: Our body language speaks directly to the brain’s limbic system, mostly going right past our conscious. As Executive EQ says, “Intuition, emotional content, influence, trust, and believability are all processed in the preconscious areas of the brain - the limbic system, which serves not only as a gateway to the sites where cognition, or thinking, take place but as the brain’s emotional center.” Which indicates that body language that tells a different story than spoken language confuses people, and can cause miss-trust, unfavourable emotions, and so on. Body language is often considered 80% of a presentation, because the limbic system is taking in thousands of times more information than the conscious, so our unconscious gets a LOT more than the conscious.

There is another aspect to body language. As someone learns to use their body more effectively they often go through stages. They might take random nervous energy and focus it into ‘purposeless’ pacing as they build self-awareness. You might have other mannerisms that are intermediate on your route to increasing self-control and self-awareness. If you’ve spent much time working with people whose English is dramatically different from yours,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you may have found yourself reading lips more than usual. It seems that women naturally read lips more than men do,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and this helps them adapt to and learn new languages more readily.

Gestures are large enough to be the most expressive way to communicate with your body when you’re speaking to a group. You can probably think of a dozen gestures that you and others habitually do to add spice to your conversations. Most of these are probably universal, multi-culture, gestures, but some will be culture specific. Gestures can make you a much more expressive and dynamic speaker, especially if you move about while making them.

Or play such movements in your mind and find your own personal interpretations, and be aware that interpretations vary.

Mind you, I have been writing and talking about scams for years and am very familiar with banking laws (at least presentation of checks and have access to find any bank and their company officers in a matter of minutes, if not seconds.
I send you a check. Whether it is legitimate or fake, whether in-state or out, it must be deposited, except if you take it to the issuing bank (the bank that is on the face of the check). If you take it to the issuing bank, the bank can cash the good check,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], if the funds are available. Otherwise, you have to take the check to your bank, make the deposit, and hope and pray it will remain good until it clears the issuing bank.
As a result of my Ad,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I received many emails from interested parties, who all wanted me to hold the property, and they have already sent me payment. They sent me payment so that I would pay the travel agency for their travel arrangement from England,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Australia or even some northern parts of the U.S.
So, good boys and girls, do NOT accept fake checks,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], rush to the bank, drain your account, and forward money to some stranger somewhere-cluelessly. Some of these “fake” checks look so good that even your bank managers (experienced bankers) may get fooled. Therefore, this is my suggestion.

Now, one of the idiots who sent me the checks, also sent me a “fake” official-looking document that accepting these check and not complying with the terms of the agreement would cause criminal prosecution upon me. Oooh, very scary!!! As soon as I read it, I could not stop laughing. Of course, for those of you out there, this is a way for the scammers to present themselves as legitimate business people wanting to make you scared that if you “DEPOSIT” the check, you MUST immediately take money out for the overage and send it to the destination they provide, or they will press criminal charges. What a bull. J
When I saw the first email, I prepared a general Q & A (FAQ) email, describing the property, showing pictures, described in detail that I ONLY ACCEPT U.S. BANK CASHIER/CERTIFIED CHECKS or the U.S. POSTAL SERVICES MONEY ORDER. I announced clearly that I would not accept any other payments.
Let’s not forget, these checks were NOT the type I asked. They were personal or company checks when I asked for Bank Cashier Check. Every one of these checks was for thousands of dollars over the amount of my required payments. The interested parties (scammers) wanted me to deposit the checks and take money out-of my account (for the difference between what I asked and what was writing on the check) and Western Union the difference to some location OUT-SIDE the U.S.
I bundled the entire email including pictures and had it ready for anyone that responded to me. It seems that it did not matter how many times I would tell these scammers the same thing, they would still send the same type of email or modify it a bit and again, send me the email.

1. Every one of them had very poor English writing skills, however, claimed to be doctors, professionals, engineers, and minimally educated people with high paying jobs.
2. They all claimed to be English speaking citizens. Of course, any one can be a citizen, even if they cannot speak a word of the national language of the country.
3. All of them had the same style of writing with broken sentences. All of them excited; asking me not enter into an agreement with anyone else (showing much interest). They also claimed that payment is on the way -even if they didn’t have my information. Then, they asked me for my name,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], address, and phone so that they could send the payment. They all claimed that the payment has come or is coming from a company in the U.S. They all also claimed that they are sending me more that my required amount so that I would pay for their travel arrangement to my house/city and all their furniture shipment.
4. All of them were ready to grab the property, without seen the property.
5. All of them had a third party in the U.S. that was going to overnight the check to me

I have been warning a lot of people about certain types of scams for a long time. Recently, I learned about a few people that were scammed and sent their money elsewhere based upon fake checks they received. They were both young and old in age.”
When you receive a check from an unknown entity,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], take your time, find the issuing bank,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], call them or drive there (if in your neighborhood), and share all the information about the check. Show the check and let the bank certify that it is a legitimate check. Otherwise, send the check back and ask for cashier/certified U.S. bank check).
And finally:
I received 3 overnight packages. One was a check printed on an old INK-JET color printer with a COPY signature. Another one- was a regular check from a bank account, which had been inactive for years with a negative balance, and one that I cannot even describe because it was screaming FAKE from miles away.

Let’s not forget the following issues:
1. You deposit this check, take some money out and then I stop payment a couple of days later (immediately before it hits my bank). You lose.

A friend suggested that I should advertise the property on craigslist.com. Not knowing the site, I listed an Ad. I also noted very clearly that, I WILL NOT HOLD THE PROPERTY for ANYONE UNLESS I RECEIVE THE EXACT AMOUNT OF PAYMENT FOR THE FIRST MONTH, and 2 PAYMENTS FOR SECURITY. Moreover, I noted, “PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME A DIME more that what the payment is.” I WILL NOT SEND PAYMENTS ELSEWHERE, PAY FOR ANY OF YOUR OTHER NEEDS, MAKE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], OR MAKE OR PAY FOR YOUR FURNITURE and SHIPPING”.

I enjoy doing different types of exercise and like to experience different forms. This year I did yoga which was on my list of things to try. Well, okay. I’ve done yoga lots of times before but it’s been a while and I really had to commit to make this one a reality and ended up finding a great yoga place right by my house; really good classes and I love how good it is for my back and my body in general. Most recently I took a Pilates class – my very first time; I thought it is a great workout and also difficult. At any point when I was wavering about successfully making it through my first class shaking and dripping with sweat, I’d hear the Pilates teacher say “This is tough but you’ll get through it because you are capable.” She spoke the words I tell everyone while on the radio. Whenever I hear that verbiage it completely calms me and imbues me with a fierceness to make it through. Indeed, it got me through most of the exercises intact while using proper form (the teacher helped me a lot!). Hearing that really motivated me– because I know it’s true – I am capable. Whenever I’m about to give up on myself – that’s the best reminding mantra for me to use; it works.
This year I wanted to spend time with wild animals – specifically a monkey. I spent time at a wild animal refuge where I was gifted with time with Cookie The Monkey. I’d wanted to experience a monkey for so long that I finally took action so I could experience that. I did not do yoga or pilates with the monkey, we hung out and Cookie ate cookies while sitting in my lap. Cookie likes strawberry Fig Newton’s, and I like monkeys so we had a win-win situation,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a deal to spend time together which really worked for us both.

Rather than the fear factor of “Oh my God, What if I this and that happens?” instead switch up the game and play “What if I can could anything? Have anything? And be anything?”

If you believe anything is possible you can shift your perception. Believing is a powerful way of living life and the best thing you can do for yourself is to shift your reality.
First decide is what you spend time doing considered dreaming or is it fantasy? A fantasy is a flight of fancy, a hope based on rocket ships, and celebrities,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and contests that will end our strife and be the answer to problems. But a dream is something that is within our means because we can navigate and take steps to make actualized. You will set up a plan to make a dream happen,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], otherwise,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], if there’s no plan just a vapid hope, it’s a fantasy. Decide on dreams. Decide on action steps to make the dream a reality. Play the “What if..” game and experience even in your imagination all the wonderful possibilities.
Perceived Barriers: Are what we perceive to be blockages, obstructions,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and walls in our way that are based on limiting and off-putting ideas. We know they are coming from our own distorted beliefs because there is no encouragement and support in the belief, instead it aims to shut us down and put our dream out of business. Our self-imposed barriers are created out of difficulties we’re afraid will be out there. It may be base on the fact that we’ve already experienced disappointment in our life, or it may be from limitations created our of fear because our vision of what living the dream-come-true looks like is skewed with obstacles and difficulties. Since that’s our vision - it will scream at us to get out while we can! The dream still lives on insides us but the limitation is busy convincing us to let it go.
What if there is more than the small vision we’re holding onto? Are you willing to invest time into writing a new ending to your story,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], shooting a new movie of what it will feel like and be like? Will you commit to spending time to intuit what the beliefs are that are holding you back. Will you agree to stop empowering any belief that is not serving or supporting you to move ahead?
In its place set up a new expansive belief that to take the place of and incorporate into your self-talk of everyday life. Put THAT new belief on as a new pair of glasses and see where you are, where you’re headed from the new perspective and point-of-view.
Figure out what you want to create this year, this month, and this life. Write a list so you have something to look at and see where you’re at. For each dream and goal write down the steps it will take to get there,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and take those steps. If a belief is holding you back, be responsible and change it. Make a new belief that is supporting and loving and assures you are capable and you can and will do it!

The squat is considered the king of all exercises when it comes to building muscle. If you are on a muscle-building routine that does not involve the squat then you are not really on a muscle-building routine. So is there anything else you can do if you just do not want to squat or you simply don’t like the exercise? Can you still build massive legs without the squat? Yes you can but you will still need to work as hard and sometimes even harder if you are not squatting. There is no getting around the hard work for massive legs.

Things to remember: Warm up sets for the above are not included. On your 12 rep sets you should be able to get 12 without much difficulty. The Weight should be heavy enough to allow only 8 reps. These are the sets that will induce the most muscle growth if done correctly. You must keep in mind that it is the 8 rep sets that are the muscle builders and give an all out effort to get those 8 reps and to go beyond 8 to see if the weight is really heavy enough.
